Custom Text
The Custom text section is where you really personalise your PiccyPuzzle, and have some fun.
All Custom text is displayed in the colored quotes at the bottom of the PiccyPuzzle. When a new piece of custom text 'kicks in', the quotes will flicker to get the player to look at the new text.
The Welcome text is shown straight away when the puzzle loads, and if the puzzle is restarted after being solved. It stays until another custom text replaces it. If you don't put any other custom text in, it remains visible until the end of the puzzle.
You then have 3 Hint Texts which you could use to give hints as to where the picture was taken, who is in it, what the picture is. Or just to tease your friends for taking so long.
If you know certain friends are going to be playing your new PiccyPuzzle on a certain night, you could even use the Hint text to say Hi to them personally, and give cryptic hints that only they would understand.
You could spread them out evenly eg. every 30 moves, or bunch them all together, early or late on into the Puzzle. You can use none, 1, 2 or all 3 hint texts. It's up to you.
The Solved text is shown when a player genuinely solves the puzzle without pushing any Cheat or Solve buttons.
If you have enabled the Cheat button, the Cheat text you supply here is shown as soon as the button is pushed. And the same applies to the Solve button. The text you supply here is shown when the player gives up, and presses the Solve button.
You can update your Custom Text via the Admin page you get at the end of the puzzle.
This means that you could start off with no text, and add it in later. Or for even more fun, update the cutom text to say something different every day.
If you make changes to your Custom Text, the embed code does not change. All you need to do is to restart your browser, and it will pick up the new settings next time your PiccyPuzzle is shown in your web page.
