Background Color
You can choose either a White or Black Background for your PiccyPuzzle.
Best to pick the one that most closely matches and blends into your MySpace or Web page background.
This color is shown in the 'Spacer' (bottom-right), around the edges, and between the pieces of the puzzle (the grid lines).
The whole 'look and feel' of your piccypuzzle, the logo etc. is also quite different for black and white.
Black is the most popular, but it might not suit your web page.Think twice about choosing Black if you have a very dark picture, and the spacer is not easily seen from the rest of the picture.
If you find that your Piccy is too dark and needs brightening to fit a black background, or is too light and needs darkening to fit a white background, use the Brightness and Contrast steps of Piccyfix.com to make your original better.
To do this, upload your picture to PiccyFix and choose All Wizard Steps. Adjust the brightness and contrast (skipping all other wizard steps), then upload your fixed image to this site.
As with most rare or special pictures, it's impossible to retake them again without losing the spirit of the original shot, so it's usually worth playing about with them on Piccyfix so you can get the very best PiccyPuzzle you can. Maybe add a cool effect while you're there! (But don't add a border, that will mess up your PiccyPuzzle.)
No matter which background color your choose first time around, you can change this later using your Admin page that you get at the end of the wizard.
If you do change your background color, the embed code changes, so it's best to to replace your current code with the new one. It isn't critical that you do this, but in the few seconds when the puzzle loads, it looks ugly if eg. you have a white background flashing up before the black puzzle loads.
Nothing bad will happen if you don't replace the code, and the puzzle will still be playable if it has the wrong background color in the embed code. But it's better to get it just perfect, and have the PiccyPuzzle 'melt-in' to your web page. :-)
After embedding the new code in your web page, you will need to restart your browser for the update to kick in, to force it to reload the updates from PiccyPuzzle.com
